This is Dragon's X15 experimental rocket plane, part of a series of kits in this small scale about the X-planes that include the Bell X-1, Douglas X-3, and Northrop X-29. The kit is really nice, with great detail even for the scale, and employing modern technology in the injection process. Decals are provided for two planes as you get two sets of parts to build two different aircraft. In this boxing, you can build the X-15 in a very early configuration, using the twin pack XLR-11 rocket engine. My kit is already on the workbench as i can't resist this x-planes kits!

This is my second Vampire from Hobbycraft Canada. It is a simple kit, with recessed panel lines, although not entirely correct. Fit is very good, so expect a fast construction. Detail however is poor on the cockpit and wheel wells. It is however not too difficult to add some cockpit increments, and work will be payed off as the canopy has large windows to see trough. Decals were a major downside of the kit. They perform poorly so i replaced them with a set from Classic Airframes markings for the Venom . Painting was done as usual for me with Tamiya acrylics sealed with future and Humbrol matt coat.
